Hart & Sole Race for the Cure

by J.C. Hart Marketing on March 13, 2012

Hello!

We’re excited to let you know that we are once again putting together a J.C. Hart team for the 21st Annual Susan G. Komen Central Indiana Race for the Cure®.

Our team name is Hart & Sole and we are very excited to announce that Bobbie Dougherty, JCH alum and breast cancer survivor, will be our Honorary Team Captain this year! We are also happy to announce that John Hart will be matching up to $3,000 of any funds that we raise! Thank you, John!

The Race is Saturday morning, April 21st in downtown Indianapolis on the IUPUI campus and Military Park.

The Race is an incredible experience.  We’re so excited to have an opportunity to make a difference in the fight to end breast cancer forever.  Will you join us?

Please help support us in this important project by becoming a member of our team!  We are looking for our Associates, friends, family, and J.C. Hart Apartments residents to join us in supporting this very worthwhile cause.  Together, we can fund research and outreach services that will provide life saving education, early screening and detection services for low income men and women in Komen Central Indiana’s 21 county service area!

Becoming a team member is easy!  All you need to do is click here and register for the 2011 Central Indiana Race for the Cure© through the “Join a Team” option.

Then, search for: Hart & Sole.

We look forward to a fun race day with you on our Hart & Sole team!

Relay For Life of Westfield

by Ashley Place Staff on May 12, 2012

Hey AP!!

Stacy here!  I want to make sure that you were all aware that the American Cancer Society/Relay For Life of Westfield will be next weekend, May 18-19th from 5:30PM to 11:45AM.  It is held at the Westfield High School Track, located at 345 W. Hoover St.

There are many different reasons why people participate in this event… celebrating a survivor, remembering those lost, or fighting back against this terrible disease.  It is a way to find healing, comfort and support from others who have faced cancer or who have lost a loved one to the disease.  You have a chance to meet people in the community who are equally as passionate about finding an end to cancer in our lifetime.

How it works:  Teams of people camp out at a Westfield High School and take turns walking or running around the track.  Each team is asked to have a representative on the track at all times during the event.  Because cancer never sleeps, Relays are overnight events up to 24 hours long.

With every step you take, you help the American Cancer Society save lives.   With your help, we aren’t just fighting one type of cancer – we’re fighting for every birthday threatened by every cancer in every community.

“Take pride in knowing that you are working to create a world where this disease will NO LONGER threaten the lives of our loved ones or steal another year of anyone’s life.  Celebrate.  Remember.  Fight Back.”

Visit www.RelayForLife.org for more information and the schedule of events.  General donations are being accepted in the Ashley Place Leasing Office.

*********************************

My participation will be in memory of my grandma, Reta Demaree (10/25/05) and grandpa, Virgil Demaree (7/25/07). Cancer snuck in and took both of their lives far too early.  They are thought of often and not a day goes by that they are not missed.

If you would like to donate on my behalf, click here.  It is very much appreciated!!

THANK YOU!

~Stacy~
