The Indiana Supreme Court will decide whether Republicans had the power to fine Democrats in the Statehouse walkout. The court on Wednesday agreed to hear the state's appeal of a Marion Superior Court's ruling on the fines. Judge David Dreyer on Monday granted a permanent order blocking the state from seizing the pay of House Democrats to cover the fines being imposed for their legislative walkout. He also ordered the state to pay back money it seized from Democrats in 2011.
