A new year is here.  New hopes, new resolutions and new projects abound.  Many of us may take a look around and decide our home could use a few resolutions of its own.  So where to start?  Below is a handy little guide to jump start the motivation.

REDUCE- Parting with “stuff” and deciding what to let go of is tough.  Here is a guideline to stick with: If you have not really used an item within the past two years aside of special occasions , then let it go to charity.  You will be amazed at the sense of organization you feel when your home is de-cluttered.

REPURPOSE- Have an extra decorative plate?  Place your kitchen soaps and sponges on it in a cluster by your sink.  Pull out different jars and vases and put cotton swabs or guest bath soaps in to fill.

REDESIGN- We tend to get a little stir crazy and the urge to change things comes about.  Whatever it may be, it may be time to get a wish list together and look at a reasonable budget for the items you would like to change.  You will  need to put them in the order of importance to you.

Join IU Health North Hospital to celebrate Go Red for Women month in February!  Go Red for Women is an American Heart Association campaign that raises awareness about heart disease in women.  February 3rd is national “Wear Red” day as we encourage everyone to show their suppory by wearing red!

If you haven’t been downtown to experience the festivities, GO!  This very well could be a once in a lifetime opportunity!

Here at Ashley Place, we love our pets!  As a matter of fact, the majority of our neighbors in the community have a pet!  This is why it is absolutely pertinent that all pet owners follow the pet policies that we have in place.  Please take a moment to review a few of the policies that you agreed to upon signing the pet lease agreement:

**     No more than 2 pets per apartment.

**     If pet is outside the apartment, it will be on a leash while accompanied by and under the control of the resident.  No pets are to be tethered outside the apartment.

**     Resident agrees to clean up after pets.

**     No tolerance for aggressive or disturbing pets.

**     Any failure to comply with these terms and conditions could result in the removal of pet from the premises or termination of residents rights of occupancy.

**     These policies are put in place for the sake of ALL residents, pets, children, staff and guests here at Ashley Place.  We love our furry friends just as much as you do, however, we take our pet policies very seriously.

We would like to welcome Robert Jones to Ashley Place! 

Robert is transferring from a sister community and will now be a member of our maintenance staff here at AP!  We couldn’t be more excited to have him join our team!  Robert and his family are new to this area and excited for the change.  With a love for people and over 13 years of experience in maintenance, we are confident that he is going to be a wonderful addition to our community.

Hello, Ashley Place!

I hope your 2012 is off to a great start!

There is no question that our maintenance staff here at Ashley Place works extrememly hard to  deliver you excellent service.  It is important that we hear from you!  You know the blue card that you receive once each service request is completed in your apartment?  Please take just a moment to fill it out.  Then either drop it in the mail or bring it by the leasing office, whichever is most convenient for you!  If it’s easiest, just call us and we will come and get it from you!

** Your feedback is vital in order for us to provide you with the best service possible.  You may not realize, but we track each and every blue card that we receive and take the comments very seriously.  If we are doing great, let us know! If we are doing poor, let us know!  We are here for you and strive to provide you with prompt, efficient and courteous service every single day! **

The Ashley Place leasing office will be closed this weekend, Saturday, December 31st and Sunday, January 1st.  We will resume normal business hours on Monday, January 2nd at 9:00AM.

Please be sure to get into the office by no later than Friday, Dec. 23rd to pick up any last minute Fed Ex/UPS/Mail deliveries in the package room.  If for some reason you are unable to get into the office during open hours, please let us know and we’ll arrange to get your items to you.  

** This is very important, as no staff will be present during the dates listed above to give you access to your deliveries. **
